I've had this coin laying around for a while now. I bought it in a big lot with a bunch of other items and have had a hard time putting a grade on it due to the toning. These pics are just iPhone pics, but I can try to provide better pics later if they would be helpful. What would you grade it and what do you think NNC graded it?

Probably an AU coin that NNC graded MS 66

Looks like AU55 detail with muted luster. The toning looks original to me, not rising to the level of a problem like environmental damage. However, this coin should have a decent amount of remaining luster; lack of that will hurt the grade.
NNC may have graded it anywhere from AU-53 to MS-64 I would guess. I doubt they would have listed any problem on the label.

Not having any experience with NNC and judging the disdain implied by others here, I'd say NNC 64. As for myself, it looks like someone was "stepping in high cotton" and teasing the eagle by grabing its wing tips a bit.
AU53-55ish but they are not the best of pictures.

I see this Morgan as an MS63/64 that has naturally toned over many years. I see no wear whatsoever to call this an AU coin. I've purchased quite a few NGC/PCGS graded Morgans that look very similar. Nice coin!

I have a tough time grading toned Morgans, but would agree with somewhere in the AU range...

I'm still unsure on the actual grade as in hand I don't see any wear, but it could be hidden by the heavy toning. I have some pics my wife took with her DSLR that I'll have to find and post. Many of you were close on the grade from NNC: No matter the grade, I've already gotten my more than my money back on the lot that I bought this in, so this coin was essentially free.
