This is 1 item from a collection of coins acquired by my grandfather, who was a merchant seaman, lost at sea when torpedoed in the North Atlantic during the war. johntheone New Member United Kingdom 4 Posts	Posted 10/21/2013 10:51 am AS the collection was my uncle's possession for a number of years, and he lived in the seaport of South Shields, he may well have added to the collection over the years, adding coins he obtained from other sailors.
