New to classic coins. I'm gonna guess it's ms62? and worth maybe $40? The toning is kinda a bronze hue in person. I paid $25 for it..

This. I'd (unfortunately) be very, very surprised if the surfaces are original, even by Morgan standards. All the same, the price wasn't half bad at all.

I'd say high AU to low MS. There's a nasty hit on the eagle's chest, plus I'm not seeing any breast feathers. The hair above the ear is worn, too.

But yeah, for $25...not too shabby.

The breast feathers are an overdiscussed point on Morgans... so many morgans with slightly weak strikes won't show crap in the way of breast feathers, so I don't use those as an indicator.

Well yea for $25 it was worth a shot. I guess I'll just try to flip it...
To me, it looks like part of the surface came into contact with something and part didn't. It also kinda looks like one of those coins some people say " slide" from au to ms. Well to my eyes at least...
