I can neither confirm nor deny. Check the photos on VAMWorld (can't access it myself right now) and compare the location of the neck clash and wing clash to those shown for the VAM 33A. These relative clash locations are like fingerprints. Your wing clash (obv) is north of the jaw/neck junction and appears doubled. The neck clash (rev) almost touches the 'G' in God. Let us know what you discover.

Its not the VAM-33a the clash rotation is not right. The pick up points for that one are the die scratches I the D of United. But it is a Vam-39a

VAM39A it is. The die gouge through the bow and wreath make it pretty obvious, also. Nice score from a bulk Morgan purchase.

Well it got here, It looks like a lock MS-62 as the coin has a bit of a soft strike and low luster. But its still a hard coin in MS-62 and near impossible in MS-64

Glad it arrived safely. I yield to your expertise on it. Have your way with her and let me know the pecuniary damage..

This is a sweet VAM! I have never got anything in that nice of condition in a lot but that is how you find the really good ones. I like to buy the lots that no one can tell what they are getting, blurry photo, to far away, ect.. I almost always get a good VAM or 2 and I never pay more than common money for them. Kris

Is it just the photo, or, is this a partial tilted collar?

For SuperDave.... The coin in at PCGS being graded with a batch of TwoHawks' coins. Will PCGS notate the partial collar tilt or would the submission form have to have requested "attribution?" PG

It might just be a MAD (Mis Aligned Die) on both sides or even some other kind of anomaly. I am not an expert on these things but it does show something interesting going on with the rim. It probably won't help to have it labeled as a Partial Tilted Collar unless it is really severe. If you were to ever sell it, the coin would probably sell better for you just calling out the VAM and condition becaues it is already a top notch VAM. It would be hard to find a buyer that is looking for both things in one coin. If when you get the coin back you can tell the reeding or some of the denticles are affected then it might be worth paying the attribution fee for the error. Please correct me if I am wrong guys.

They will only attribute A coin if you ask "PAY" for it Errors on US Dollars cost 50.00 plus the grade fee. This coin is currently in final and went in with 5 other orders. I have had all the other orders back now for over 2 and 3 weeks now.
I hope to have grades by Friday... Talk about a slow boat No sails, No oar, They currently say 18 Reg. days on Econ and this group is at 22 right now.
BTW all VAM-39a's have a light off center strike so it falls into the die is the die.
