I found this coin while looking for a couple to put in coin capsules. The break lines are mostly on the front and some on the back. Question is, what do collectors do with these?

It's actually the first coin I own, that I have seen that had a die break. Are they worth being sent off for grading?

I went to the VAM website and their is an image of an almost identical coin VAM-3B2.

Die cracks abound in the Morgan series, and are not considered rare when found on any Morgan issue. The 1921's are even more prone to them, as production was inflated to ridiculous levels and dies were kept in service far longer than prudence would dictate. Aside their evidence towards one variety or another, they're not considered value-adding or -detracting features.

Die cracks are very much like fingerprints - although you will see similarities, no two varieties are exactly alike. The cracks on your coin appear in places where many 1921's show them. So, a "resemblance" will only narrow things down somewhat, as opposed to being diagnostic.

Here's VAM-3B2:

As you can see from the images, yours is similar but not identical. That variety is best-known for the reverse pitting and denticle lump below the "O."

Your coin is not extensively cracked and would be quite difficult to attribute, even for someone like me who spends obsessive time with 1921's. None of what I can see is immediately reminding me of a particular variety, so research would be painstaking and possibly not fruitful.

Thanks for that, I had no idea that someone would catalog so many different coins. I'm actually glad I found it, even though it's not rare, I did just go through the top 50 on a website and I have a few of those dates. I will certainly pay more attention to details rather than just looking at it to assert an overall grade.
