Here is a nice 1871 that has the 187 over 187. The Charlton shows a 1/1 and a 7/7 ...but not this one. The 1 and 8 are easily seen and the 7 just has a fine point coming down from the top interior and very similar to the 7/7 showing on page 83 of the 2011 Charlton (65th).
There must be near endless varieties to be found as there are with the vicky cents..
There are so many DC's around the Obverse,...but at the same time there are multiple die clashes that show the bust inverted in the OBV.
From the crown down to the CE are fine parallel die clash lines,...but the bust is sharper at the bottom where the date and knot is. At the bottom, there is also a DC which goes through the inverted bust on the left side as seen in the bottom pic.




I really like this 1871 because of all that is going on in such a little coin.
The digital USB microscope makes seeing this so much easier.
