Modern penny with a little ware. Photo and description not detailed or close enough for other details.

Welcome...and this is just a typical plated zinc cent...the zinc under the copper layer is corroding causing the "puffy" appearance. This is also in the wrong forum...should be in the Modern section as well as "errors"

Nothing unusual. Many, many of the Cents from the 80's are all messed up. Many have a lumpy almost second rim running through the letters and numbers. Many have faded lettering on the Reverse. Many have a double line for a rim. All in all, Cents from the 80's are a disaster. Yours looks better than most.
Rest in Peace

Keep it for now. Please see if a better photo is possible and take pics of both sides.

It looks like the letters at the top aren't completely there and 'liberty' looks strange.

Is the cent thicker at one end?

Just a correction, this thread should have been posted in Modern.

It looks like normal circulation damage to me.

Could be stain on 85% of the coin or 15% cleaned with some with a vinegar base product? Either way, spendable.
