The medal you've displayed was produced by the Metal Arts Company of Rochester, NY (vs. the Medallic Art Company).
It is one of nine medals that were struck by Metal Arts for the Exposition; they struck silver and bronze versions for sale. (A limited number of gold sets â€" four, I believe â€" were also struck for presentation purposes.)
The silver medals sold for $112.50 per set, the bronze sets were $28.50. I believe the medals are 0.999 fine, but I'll have to get my set out and confirm the fineness and weight. I'll update this post within the next day and include the design themes for the other eight medals as well.
