At last NATURAL toning. Looks a bit edgy but not far off EF. I don't like the coin holder.Fingers are a big NO.

Have you guys ever heard of the 1887 double date crown or is it just something that a seller on ebay has made up ?

Where do you grade it? I've just been looking at The Standard Guide to Grading British coins and your coin exceeds VF but is lesser than than EF. The following is a NEF example.Look at the wear on the helmet. http://pennycrowncoins.co.uk/shoppi...?id=922&=SID

A strange comment. Your coin is fairly soft focus but exhibits wear. What grade did you buy it at or think it is?

It don't matter anyhow its not for sale. I know what this coin is. Its a very high grade 1887 silver crown. And my children will know the same with the paper I put in the wallet so they wont be mugged off by coin dealers.
