2001 Lincoln Cent. Obverse is fairly normal, but there is doubling in the reverse. Particularly in "UNITED STATES", most particularly in the first S and then in "ONE CENT", you can really see it through the O-N-E and C. I hope that the scans show it well enough for an opinion from you folks. If it is mechanical, it is the best example of that that I have found.

It looks like a mechanical die to me. But do not take my word for it. It's just my opinion.

Flattened down, takes up part of the normal shape of the letters, and has no notching. It's Machine Doubling.

Thanks for the opinions. Ah well, even if it is Mechanical Doubling, it is the most impressive example of it that I have found my self in the short time I have been hunting rolls. Fun stuff!
