Has there been any documented 46 US Nickels on the 42-45 silver planchet?

I haven't heard of anything yet. The Red Book comments on that there were some genuine nickel planchets that were struck in nickel during the war time years of 1942-45. Again, I never heard of this before. But there are counterfeit nickels that were struck with the missing initials above the Monticello. They were called "Henning" nickels, named after the guy who they sent to jail.

Well that answers that question. We know that there is at least one. (I'd heard of them before, but I'd never seen one.)
