VAM comes from the ultimate guide.. "The Comprehensive Catalog and Encyclopedia of Morgan & Peace dollars by Leroy C. Van Allen and A. George Mallis" - Vamworld.
" VAM" is the name given to die varieties on American "Morgan" and "Peace" silver dollars. The term incorporates all die-derived varieties and "errors" you could find on those coins, including die cracks. The name derives from the initials of the two authors who wrote the definitive book on Morgan and Peace dollar die varieties, Leroy Van Allen and A. George Mallis. " VAM" is not used to describe or define die varieties in any other coin series, or coins from any other country.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
