Nice coins muddler and oih82w8
I wondered when some nice commemorative half dollars would come out.
I really like that Rocking horse Crown. Another coin I need to watch out for.

Costa Rica 1-Colon 1935: This coin has PMD but is the oldest coin I found in change in Costa Rica in 1985. At the time it was issued, it was the largest denomination in circulation.

Bacchus got in first with a 1935 Belgian silver 20 Fr, so I need to show a different one for that year. In 1935 a world exhibition was organized in Brussels, at which occasion a commemorative silver 50 Francs coin was issued. Low mintage and many coins returned to the National Bank (the 1939 silver 50 Fr had a better fineness), cause this coin to be less common. The obverse shows the centennial exposition hall (still in use) at the Heyzel just outside Brussels. The legend translates as: 'Centennial of Belgian Railways' The reverse shows the Archangel Michael's victory over the devil. The Archangel is wearing a helmet with cross. The legend translates as: Kingdom Belgium, Brussels exhibition.

To go with that rocking horse crown, I have a George V 25 year jubilee medal.

oih82w8, I have got to add one of those 1935 Texas Centennial Commemorative halves to my collection. Definitely my favorite commemorative design.

Meanwhile, back in the You-Ess-of-Aay . . . Down San Francisco way . . . They were still minting these ! Yes, that is a staple scratch across Miss Liberty's cheek.
