Tunisian 1 franc 1921

Tunisia was a French protectorate at the time, and replaced its silver coins with 'Good For' tokens just like the homeland - although it continued to issue them with the same design right through to the 1940s.

Just adding my modest 1921 penny:

Congrats for Flippy's 'ancestral' revolutionary 1921 rouble. One of the 'world coins' rarely showing up in auctions.

I may never find a pair of 'fraternal twin sisters' that I like better than these nicely toned examples.
Blast white is alright but it's just so sterile.

Italy, 20 centesimi, 1918

Here's a nice classical design, complete with bare breasts and an androgynous face staring at a wheat ear. But is it more mannish than Morgan's Liberty?

Inspired by Gwyde's "modest" 1921 British penny, decided to post my own (since Jan 4 anyway) 1921 British half penny.
I actually thought I missed my opportunity to post this coin for some reason; was pleasantly surprised to realize that I still can sorry for the bad photos (in my defence, it's probably very hard to make photos that would do this coin justice - at least not without good outside lighting, which is hardly the case in the middle of a sunless winter night).

Yeah, it's a woody (also known as "improperly mixed alloy", which IMHO doesn't describe how beautiful this actually looks). In fact, that was the main reason why I even bought this coin (I can't really tell how high a grade it is, and British copper of that period isn't typically part of my interests, but I just couldn't pass such a beautiful example of this "error"; and while I don't remember the specifics, the price was pretty darn tiny).

I hate to leave Lincoln out.
I am thinking there should be some nice
wheat cents being posted in the next couple weeks.
