Has a couple stains and marks but looks like it could make 62.

55. Rub all over, don't know how anybody would think this is MS. Above the ear, cheek, eyebrow, bottom of neck, eagles head/chest, wreath, all indicative of rub.

This one leaves me with the tantalizing feeling that I've seen it before; that black mark at the reverse star is kind of definitive.

1921 Morgans require an entirely different eyeball calibration than any other Morgan. The design, the planchet prep, and the striking process were all completely different than the previous Morgan issues. I've been obsessed with 1921 Morgans for years - I have 10GB of 1921 images in my personal archive, all of which I shot with my own cameras - and have seen and/or handled thousands of them.

I've still evolved no consistent rules for grading them from images. The only reasonably-accurate way to decide if a 1921 has seen circulation or not is to rotate it, in-hand, under a bright light. The incredible variance in strike quality and as-struck finish precludes any true certainty when offered only online images for evaluation.

So this one could just as easily be a strong MS64 as it could be AU55, which is what I'm calling it based only on the marks I see in the fields which aren't consistent with a coin which hasn't circulated.

But I may be wrong.

I'm with adage on this one. There are signs of circulation all over. I have this one at AU55
