Not every Dime requires an "S".

I am not sure what your trying to ask.
Did you personally pull these from a mint set or proof set?
Which coin are you referring to? If in the 1960's...they made Special Mint Sets that did NOT have a mint mark.

If your looking for one of the BIG dollar No "S" coins, it would have to come from a PROOF set, be in Proof condition.

The 1968, 70, 75 and 83 were the ones that were proof coins with the missing "S" on the dimes. The 1963 proof dimes came from Philly. The San Francisco mint was closed from 1956-1967. There were no "S" mint until 1968. The mint from San Francisco Started making proof coins that year along with circulating coin until 1970. 1971 forward they make just proof coins. In 1999 there was a SBA dollar that was a proof that was made in Philly. Some proof coins are made a West Point, NY since 1984.

I wanted to add that number and make the list more complete. I can do edit that because only a few minutes had passed by.

I like to do neat things to keep things tidy.
