I mostly do nickels and cents... I prefer nickels because there are less varieties to look for so it is less of 'work' to do. Now, I only look for varieties in cents for fun/personal collection, but knowing there are so many I have a hard time not looking at certain years! OCD? haha

Also, silver is nice and I get 1+ per box in nickels and I find a buffalo in every other box vs an IH cent in 1/20 boxes.

ive done pennies for about 20 years now.just started halves a few years back (i know I waited to late) and started doing nickels last year. later greg

grime5- What was penny roll hunting like 20 years ago? What could you find then that you couldn't find now (older low mintage dates)? How many wheats per box?

I've been PRHing for 2 years. Anything from pre-1935 is rare, S mints are rare, mintmark variety over all is sub par, and I've never found an IHC. My lowest mintage finds are 1935-S (38 million minted) and 1949-S (64 million minted).

It must have been different back then...
