Here is a better coin I found last week in change. 1909 VDB! I definitely think this is way better condition than the Barber dime I found. Let's see how much better. My guess on grade is VF+/XF. *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

Great find. XF+ but pictures aren't good enough to tell for sure. Coin stil exhibits some luster.

Very nice find! It would be nice to see close up photos of the obverse and reverse.

Change find of the century. Hard to tell, but I would say About Uncirculated. Probably from someone who inherited a collection, don't know what to do with it, and spent it. Ha! That's their loss! Good thing you rescued it.

I found this coin in Change. I am trying to get better quality photos, my iPhone 4S doesn't quite cut it. I have an HD camcorder I am attempting the next pics with. Thank you all so much for the feedback. I'm excited to have found this one, I will have more to post soon! Keep the opinions coming. Here we go! I am still having a tough time getting the VDB to show up good but will keep trying with the Image Optimizer.

WOW! GREAT FIND!
I don't see the VDB on the reverse. It looks like an 09 plain. I love this type of toning - brown with red around the devices. With that much red, I would say it's probably closer to AU. The pictures just aren't cutting it.

Thank you all! You have my word the VDB is there, just blurry photo when I attempt to get close enough. I need a USB microscope I read about on here for Xmas! I'm also thrilled to hear your opinions on the condition, the 2014 Red Book lists an AU50 at $20, so that is awesome! Will be away for the weekend, but I have other items to post here and classic coin grading area. Stay tuned.
