1936 Dime .... Bar?

So I look in the trends for 1936 dimes....

There the plain 1936
the 1936 bar
and the 1936 dot

I know what the dot looks like as there's a pic in my catalog...

But does the "bar" refer to the line below the date? Or does it refer to something else...

On that page you can get pics of '36 bar,dot,and poor-man's dot.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Thnx DBM... now looking at that photo... is the bar refer to a line (some sort of clash) just below the bow?

The bar is a die crack joining the two bottom bows---check out eBay--there is always good microscope pics there.

As of yet, ICCS does not recognize the bar variety for the 10c.

For the 25c, the 'bar' has to be fairly strong and easily visible under 5X for ICCS to call it a 'bar' on their holder.

I've had one or two 'bars' over the past 10 years that ICCS refused to call them as 'bars', because the die crack was extremely faint, eventhough it was complete.
