I recently found this which I do believe to be a double die variety which is like the 1963 D DDO with the center point of a secondary 3 inside the upper curve of the Primary D and partial secodary bottom curve to the Northwest. Also an RPM too.

Possible-New-DDO-. Also the 4 has a secondary punch to the Northwest also. What do you think?

Can anyone give me some information about this coin? It does appear to be a secondary 3 and is in a significant enough relief that might give it some validity. I've compared it to the 1963 D DDO of the same type and with the back indent curve of the center of the 3,

Looks like a die gouge. The fields are on the outside of the die. When a die is dropped or mishandled the die gets a gouge or dent on the die. Note how it runs behind the device. That is a scratch/gouge or dent in the die. If it were a second 3 where would the other devices be? They hub in all the devices at the same time. Also it appears you coin has been reprocessed. If there was anything on the coin before it was replated, it is now into the surface of the die creating a lump in the plating.

Ok, I also though of the 1934 DDO which shows just a small portion of the bottom of the nine and the center area of the 3 and was curious because this die gouge has a close appearance of the center point of the 3. I've been dealing with Varieties & Errors and Type coins for almost 20 years and I still get thrown off a lot. I'm glad I found this site, thank you for answering and the help :O)
