I like it. Seeing the bathymetry of Lake Superior is quite cool... I am surpassed they did not slip in the Ojibwe name of Lake GichigamiIt would have been really cool to mark the wreck of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgI8bta-7aw

Funny story SPP - well to me at least. I once spent a Sunday afternoon in a bar in a southern state (ok more than once but this one time). They had a folk singer on stage taking requests and my buddy requested that song. The singer did a great job and since no one else requested much we had him sing it a second time.
Midway through the fifth time, the singer suddenly stopped, motioned to us at the bar and said 'you idiots are Canadian, aren't you?!'. We laughed and laughed...

I broke down and subscribed to the set. I love the physiography and bathymetry of the design... I think this will find a niche in my "geology" collection of coins...

Is bathymetry on a coin a prediction of the depth of the bath buyer's will take when they try to resell after the market is flooded with Chinese fakes?

DBM I think those that subscribe to this set won't be concerned with reselling. Most people I think will keep this set for themselves.

Wow what a beautiful coin. Man... I'd go broke if I bought all the 1oz silver coins the RCM produces every year. They mint a lot of them. But I have to admit that the RCM has been very creative & innovative recently with the Lake Superior coin reflecting this.

Very interesting design. Reminds me of those laser cut wooden maps.

For some reason I thought this was $70, I think I got it confused with the George and the Dragon Silver Dollar. I think the mint is greedy here, this would be a fantastic $90 coin.
