Are they worth keeping? I received two circulated, non-sequential dollar star notes as change for coffee the other morning. The funny thing was that the serial numbers weren't even remotely similar.

I keep all that I find but have never found two at the same time. They do have a premium in uncirculated condition for the older ones. I'm not sure about the more recent notes. Great find!

I keep all star notes I can find just for the fact they are semi-rare. Specially if they are in EF or better shape. Just never know which could be worth alot some day. I'll also keep any same number serial number bills I find.

Unless you are really on a tight budget, I would suggest you keep them. They may never be worth a lot, depending on condition, but usually command some sort of premium over a standard note in the same condition.
Congratulations on such a score! Getting two in change at once! The closest I've come is getting two $10 star notes in change over the course of just four or five days.

i found me a $20 today from the ATM!!! I left it in the car so I wouldn't fold it in my pocket but it's from Fort Worth! My first star note find.

I've never really thought about looking through notes, I'm more of a Kennedy half dollars person, but I did notice the star and knew from this forum it's worth keeping. This site is so great! Thanks all.

After reading these messages I started looking out for them. I work at a convenience store and over an eight day period of time I've gotten 7 one dollar bills. The odd part is that six of them are from 2003. I thought the dates would have been more staggered. Oh, and I also got a beat up 1963 dollar as well. :D

Most of the 1's you will see these days are 2003s, they have a short life.

I'm Kicking myself now!! I was a manager at a retail store with $900 in closing cash each night. Not to mention the $100-$1000 on average of cash brought in each night for the deposit. I found out about all of these things that add premiums After I stopped working there.

I had my 1st double star note find yesterday. I withdrew $200 from the bank and sure enough there were 2 $20 star notes. The numbers weren't close so I'm wondering if someone saved them then took them to the bank at the same time.
