Here I have a 1878 S mint Morgan dollar with the 1879 Morgan dollar reverse. As you can see in the photographs the eagle has 7 tail feathers and the eagle has a rounded breast and also the bottom arrow head points downwards.
Is this coin scarce ?

That's a Rev '78, note the top arrows feather runs parallel to the other arrow feathers rather than away.

Yes I realise now after further reaseach this is just a 1878 S mint Morgan dollar 7 tail feather.

I got my first day of work in a month tomorrow so I gonna spend some time looking for some good grade silver coins. maybe ill even just buy 20 or so 2013 britannia silver coins. plus a nice coin wallet.

It would be pretty darn rare if it had the Reverse of 1879, since they didn't make any.
