Night-Hawk ... you do realize (I hope) that there is an entire sub-forum dedicated to USA commemorative ... and that is where the experts hang out.

You have shown a few of these now ... and I salute your efforts to acquire a circulated set ... wondering about your objectives for the pursuit?

My view on this coin ... and I consider myself somewhat knowledgeable on the series in both MS and circulated state ...

I say without the coin in hand it has a technical grade of F15/VF20 ... not a true low-ball as many circulated Monroe have been discovered lower.

Your photograph however begs the question of color ... are the surfaces really that dark color?

jsyk ... I'm going to ask the mod dudes to move this thread to the commemorative forum ... you'll hopefully get some real experts opinions there.

David

I wholeheartedly agree with nickelsearcher's sentiment; you'll get far more expert analysis with this one in the Commens forum. Therefore, I'm going to twitch my nose and....

Hi, Sorry for any confusion.
I collect and sell early U.S. silver coins.
My sole interest is in grading early U.S. coins properly.
No specific type.

I apologize for posting this thread in an inappropriate forum.
Please delete the thread. I will ask in the future where to post.

Thanks.

Night-Hawk ... please ... no reason at all to delete this thread with your lovely coin.

Please consider that the CCF has thousands of participants ... from all over the world.

All of us ... when new ... find a 'home base' sub-forum.

The purpose for my request to move your thread to this sub-forum was in the spirit of showing your coin to the best possible expert audience ... and to perhaps in some way expand your CCF horizons to allow contributions in this forum.

I note that you have replied to a few posts ... Thanks for that ... and always feel free to post anything commemorative related here with us.

We enjoy it all.

BTW ... I'm sticking with my original assessment of F15/VF20.

I could show you a PCGS AG03 ... but do not wish to hijack the thread.

to the commemorative forum.

@Night-Hawk: Nice circulated commemorative. I really like the "look" of the coin.
