The fourth and final coin on my PCGS Membership voucher submittal is my Pan-Pac Half Dollar. This coin looked nice in the NGC holder, but clashes with my PCGS collection. The crossover obtained the same AU55 grade and once again, A hat-tip to the PCGS Photography staff for some wonderful images. Edited by oih82w8 10/19/2013 4:13 pm

oih82w8, when you sent in the coins using the voucher did you just pay the photo fee as an extra?

Lovely example of a treasured classic silver commemorative ... tremendous eye appeal with honest surfaces.
Very well done ... Thanks for sharing the PCGS images.

Thanks, that is a great looking coin. I'm partial to AU's.

Did you crack these out before submitting or were they true "cross-overs"? Also, if they were true cross-overs, did you get charged the cross-over fee or did the voucher cover it?
Congrats on your good fortune at PCGS.

No, I did not crack 'em out. I have not reviewed the invoice to determine the overall fees since I am away for the weekend.

Okay. PCGS hit me with a $5 fee, or 1% whichever is greater, on my last cross-over. I didn't use a voucher though.

Congrats on the successful crossover!
I've used the PCGS TruView service as well, and have generally been happy with the results.

Congrats on the results! Quote: PCGS hit me with a $5 fee, or 1% whichever is greater, on my last cross-over. Did that coin get upgraded? PCGS has guarantee premium fee on all coins that upgrade when submitted as a crossover or under their reconsideration service.

I've never used PCGS's photography services. For $10, next time I might do it.

Quote: Did that coin get upgraded? PCGS has guarantee premium fee on all coins that upgrade when submitted as a crossover or under their reconsideration service. Only 1 of 4 upgraded. 1 downgraded and 2 crossed at grade. PCGS now has the guarantee premium on all coins that are reholdered from other TPG regardless of the result.

I must have misread that part. That kind of sucks that it applies to all coins that cross.

Quote: I must have misread that part. That kind of sucks that it applies to all coins that cross. Yes it does. I didn't know I was going to be hit with those fees until after I submitted the coins. It's on the submission forms but who reads those things. Anyway, another sign of the times. Many people complain about ebay, PCGS, etc and sometimes I do too. It seems everybody has some upcharge, added fee, surcharge, or penalty on everything. I guess I better get used to it.
