just a couple questions about this. did they do any gold plate in these years? other than the cameo effect,( ? the background is matte and the raised parts shiny ),the color seems to be more yellow than the others. you can sort of see it at the rim with the comparison coin. any idea on grade or worth? pulled out of circulation. Interesting... looks like a coin from a specimen set because of the parallel lined background. Pretty neat find in your change! Definitely a keeper.
Congrats!

The 2012 you use for comparison is worth more and rarer than the coin in question , it is an early 2012 stike Hard to find

Both are rare! the 2012 old style with a very low mintage, and the 2001 that was not intended for circulation.

For grade/ value... I was thinking SP-65, which has the same value as PL-64. CoinsAndCanada lists this 2001 SP-65 loonie at $8.00.

Aren't there too many hits and scratches to make 65? Looks like there is wear on the high points...

Specimen coin. Nice find, worth keeping because you don't often find these in change, but to another collector only face value now due to wear and scratches.

Yes, you can see all of the photos. There must be a way to remove that link when you post it. How are you copying the images over, by the link?
Try using the direct link on the right side of the picture. That should work better.
Somewhere there must be a way to change the account settings to private... I'll take a look around my account...

I used the direct link and it just showed the image by itself on a webpage.

i was hoping to have the image here like it shows, but maybe thats not an option anymore. ill have to look into it a little more I guess
ok I figured it out. on the right hand side of the screen (whether you are looking at your library or a single pic), right under links to share this photo, it says update link options.
the last check box is link back to albums option. I dont remember selecting it, but you have to re-link all your pics if it was selected.
thank you very much noah.
