Just got mine a couple days ago, corners were fine. Sorry to hear about your issues Celtic.

WOW! Beautiful set.

The silver medal is gorgeous! And the bronze holds up well. I'm personally not a fan of modern proofs...this one sure is shiny!

The packaging is pretty cool and feels sturdy. My biggest complaint is with the plastic finish on the obverse of the medals; it's slightly fuzzy.

Overall, great set. The silver presidential medal alone was worth the price to me. It's an awesome 1 oz round if nothing else.

Sorry to hear your problem, Celtic. Mine was fine. You should return and get the replacement. Make sure to keep your receipt for the cost of return shipping and get a refund for that cost too.

I just received my 2nd set.
No dingged corners.... However, the black ink at the corner are fading probably because of friction sliding in and out of the cover.
The medal has some kind of tiny dots (about the size of the tip of a ballpoint pen) on TR's shoulder.... I don't believe it's damage as there are no significant different in surface texture, just a little contrasting (the dots are a bit more shiny then the area around.

I don't want to go through the hassle of returning though...... I'll recheck it after getting back from camping trip.

I have been thinking about getting this set. I just checked the mint web site. They don't list a mintage or product limit. There is a notice that product will be available for shipping on 6/13/14. I wonder if the demand has increased or they may be reaching there cut off date to stop minting them. For budget reasons I am waiting until 6/1/14 to place my order. I hope I don't get shut-out like I did for the 2013 limited edition silver proof set.

Just placed the order. I will now have to wait at least 3 weeks before I see it. It won't ship until 6.16.14. What Do you think the mint putting the notice up about delayed shipping means? Did you think they ran out of their first minting and have to mint some more? Oh well just happy I was able to order one.

Not sure. If the coins and medals are available, perhaps they just need to be assembled into sets.

I agree with JBuck, I think the Mint ran low in supply and they are restocking their inventory.

I don't really know but I have been tracking this set since the day it release and there's always a delay in shipping (as listed on the mint's website, that red/highlighted notice right under the item's listing). I am guessing that this set is not on their top priority list so they only assemble the sets as orders coming in....

I just got my set this weekend. I am new to collecting so I don't have alot to compare this set to. As a whole this is the most impressive item I have purchased from the US Mint. I guess what separates this from other mint products is the style and the book that comes with the set. I didn't realize how much of his life Roosevelt dedicated himself to serving his country.

My only compliant I have with this set and all coins I have purchased from the mint is that they don't do a good job of keeping the coins free of debris before sealing them in there capsules. It is sad because the Silver and Bronze medals are great looking. I am tired of returning coins to the mint so I will keep the one I have.
