Except he hasn't dropped the value; that's full retail for an AU O-102 (which is the variety I'm thinking it is). If I'm going to spend as much as $300 on this coin, somebody else already needs to have spent the money on getting it into the slab of a reputable TPG. This is_not a good deal. With so many of the surviving coins cleaned in some way the "rub" would not bother me but I am concerned with the scratch like marks in the photo. Report this Post to the Staff

I'm concerned as well. $500 is full retail for a mid AU coin that might not be problem free. edit: 1827/6 Numismedia AU-53: 700 AU-55: 810 Still it would have to be slabbed for me to bite at that price.
