Well I'm partial because I live in CT but I love the chater oak on the reverse of the connecticut quarter. I'm sure many people don't like it at all but it really fills the quarter nicely IMHO

I like Washington State and Alaska and Oregon, since I'm from the great North West.
But I like most of them.
I think The Wyoming Bronco should have had better detailing, most I get look like they are worn almost slick

I really like the open fields design of the Wyoming quarter, I find it symbolic of the geography of most of the state (maybe, never been there...). It also looks good in my opinion, especially if you can find a really clean one.

Utah - Golden Spike .. RR .. and hence telegraph which ties into my other hobby of collecting insulators. I have an insulator of the type used on that original line.

I must say. I love the Alaska quarter with the Kodiak Grizzly munching that salmon. Kinda partial to Alaska too.

So many of them are too emblematic of their states that they wouldn't be appropriate for a national design. New Jersey makes the most sense because of its national significance (and it's closest to the mandated design for when the series ends, as JBuck alluded to). I'm partial to California, but Oklahoma is rather beautiful. Make it an eagle and change the flowers a bit and it would be perfect.

I had to go back and look because it has been well over five years since I posted that.

Agree with Alpha2814, if this is for general circulation it should be a design fitting for the nation's history. NJ's does that.

NJ for me. Nothing like Washington crossing the Delaware. Besides, it would put 'ol George on both the front and the back.

Yup! Also, I think that is intent of the new permanent design.
