RE: Fuzzy317's avatar: I have a Stone Mountain half and my sister has one as well. They are one of the coins that got me into collecting.

Nearly the same as Fuzzy317, but I collect all the way from ancients to modern, and have used this collecting strategy for four decades.
So 2013 would be the latest date, taken from circulation.

I have a few modern coins, but I mostly stick to pre-1960/1964.

I have mostly modern and classic coins. I don't have any ancient coins, but I did pickup a few for the original how far back can we go?

The oldest coin I have is an 1861 British half penny in well worn condition. Somebody spent it at the convenience store I work at (how it made it to Oklahoma is anybody's guess) as a quarter, so I accepted it and bought it for a quarter.

Same here.

Well, mostly current. There are still some 2013 ATB Quarters coming my way.

Haven't seen anything dated 2014 yet, so 2013 right now. Could change in a few months if I'm lucky.

I collect just about anything that catches my eye. My favorite coins to collect are anything silver and wheat pennies. I don't keep pennies after 82 except for a couple BU shield pennies.
