I would contact NGC about the mistake, and have them verify it and replace cost difference in current market value. NGC guaranteed it.
You would need to provide proof of what you pay originally, or they buy it back.
On a side note: I remembered that NGC has made mistakes with these small dates numerous times. I thought they would learned!

Couple of things ...
It has a 14 day return ... I would send it back to the seller and let them deal with the NGC mistake.
Second ... the sellers photos were clear enough to determine this was in fact a large date example ... buy the coin and not the holder.

I'd return it and let the seller deal with it. Quote: buy the coin and not the holder. I also stress this... TPG'ers make mistakes, and not as seldom as we'd hope, so always remember to not trust the label, look at the coin and come to your own conclusion.

I don't understand the problem identifying this variety. Half of the SD listed on ebay are LD and 75% of those submitted for verification to this forum are LD.

This is so ironic, I have been speaking to a great friend of mind who stated that is the very reason he stays away from ngc they are human and make mistakes but they have a tendency to let this stuff through the cracks perhaps just assuming the submitter knows what he is saying. Or some other way particulary on variety coins or what not I agree return to sender receive money back and keep up the search I do like your style I personnally love certified coins and it takes a hacksaw to crack a ngc holder so chances are it was a TPG overlook

i just got this message from NGS ;Dear Mr. Shtudentt,
Thank you for your email. Please send your coin to NGC using the attached Complimentary submission form and mark it as a "MECHANICAL ERROR". Please state the reason for returning the coin as well. There will be no charge to have this corrected. Please also use LB112113 as your reference number. You will need to send 3 copies of the form with your coin and keep the copy that says "Submitter Copy" for your records. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you. Thank you, Lisa

Sounds like they will re-slab it as a large date...and I believe that is typical of NGC.
