I see The Royal Mint has decided to issue some collector holders similar to those used in other parts of the world to press in examples of modern day coins

A great idea to get kids interested.

What I found interesting in one of the covers is that Northern Ireland was represented by the saltire of St. Patrick rather than the Ulster banner which is usually the case - although incorrect. Strictly speaking it should have been the Union flag.

Now, I like these, but the RCM is very smart... they distribute these folders for free! (Unless it is not a folder but a real album... in which case 5 pounds is ok)

That way, far more people will get them, and far more people will fill them.

Russia has also issued War of 1812 coin folders... but I don't know if they were free.

I like these folders but £5 for a piece of cardboard is ridiculous. And then they slap on £3 for postage as well.
