Need To Figure Out If This Set Is .999 Silver

Need-To-Figure-Out-If-This-Set-Is-.999-Silver

If anyone knows if this is silver please let me know. All it says on wooden box is 2006 rest is in chinese. Big coin says 500 ag .999 is 4 inches in diameter and weighs roughly 367 grams. Smaller coins weigh 22 grams 1.5" diameter.

I like the German Shepherd....I think I saw this set (CHina I know) on some canada mint literature- those flyers would hav details (Maybe it was canada Post book)...Some collectors would say weigh it yuself on good scale (Low), weigh similar size Ni coins, or cu ni coin ......Google Search some persons say.....even a Bay Search.....I guess I am not much help.........

If you have the set in hand, try the magnet test on the coins. If a coin is silver it should not be attracted to the coins. Most silver coins from a mint should say .999 at least. That is typically a generic phrase for most coins.

Chinese Silver Boxed set dogs

Honestly wouldn't trust many of these Chinese items, so many have no silver and even ones with a coa that say are silver, turned out had no silver!
