I was going to try and get full proof set but changed my mind. I don't collect them anymore.

Quote:I personally think the clad State Quarters will not be worth much in our lifetimes because so many people saved them (guilty). The space in my collection once occupied by BU State Quarter rolls is now occupied by BU ATB Quarter rolls The three Littleton date folders cost me $3 each, plus face for the coins (all pulled when each design first appeared in my change!) The Clad Proof Dansco 7146 cost me $63 total; the album, Clad Proof Quarters Sets from 1999-2009 with boxes/COA's, and finished with four impaired Clad Proof State Quarters I pulled from my change (yes, I counted that $1 in the $63 total) Like these, a full P-D Set in a Dansco for $40 won't break the bank, and is a great set to browse.

You know you can get a complete set in grades MS-60 to 63 from Littleton?

I actually just got the Littleton set today. It has all of 1999-2012 (Deleware to Denali) for face value, plus you get the 4 2009 Lincoln sets in unc condition; whether you get P or D is random per coin. Pretty good deal in my opinion. I got some nice upgrades for my collection, some weren't so nice and the ones I had found in circulation were nicer. Nice little booster for my set though, I'm missing about 10 or so in my P&D set. The code for the deal is 2up405. I might get silvers and proofs for the ATB Quarters, but the designs on the state set don't really do it for me.

I currently have 2 sets of the Statehood Quarters. I hope to take one to the F.U.N. show in January to sell.

Someday you will hold a very old Copper you spent $11,750 for and fondly remember picking State Quarters from change :-)

You can never have enough State Quarter sets. I have a P & D uncirculated set along with 3 circulated D mint sets. Whenever I get a state or territory quarter in change I put it aside and add to the set. If I ever get tired of gathering them at least I'll have quarters for the car wash.

Quote: Whenever I get a state or territory quarter in change I put it aside... If I did that with State Quarters, I'd have 55-gallon drums for them by now. Probably a drum for each State. ATB's, though, I tend to set aside and spend them in a more specialized manner than usual. Like when I spent the roll of circulated Grand Canyon-D's on my road trip, and I also spent three rolls of circulated Denver Mint ATB Quarters on my last business trip to the deep South. (and I will again next year!)

I probably have 10 sets of them.I remember back in the early 60's I started collecting coins when all the Buffalo nickels ,silver dimes, quarters and halfs were floating around..If a person could of just looked into the future..I know everyone and their brother collected State Quarters but in 20--30 years these mint state collections will be worth something..
