Anyone have any population information and pricing on this dime? I took a shot in the dark and recently purchased this dime because it seems quite uncommon. I think I got a good deal on it, but I can't seem to find any that have been sold elsewhere or anything. Person I bought it from said it has a pop. of 4, but couldn't find the pop. report on the NGC website.

If you can confirm its the same as the ones PCGS calls the SP instead of MS I can get you their population report, but I dont have access to the NGC one.

I'm not entirely sure. It does have more of a proof look to it and if it wasn't labeled as an SMS coin, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. The SP definition sounds like it matches closer to what I have. Could you possibly post the SP population report for FT Cameo?

I linked to it in the OP, but it doesn't give the population.

This looks like its going to be harder to figure out than I thought. It looks like some older holders have the sms as MS and the newer ones give it the SP.

The SP arent showing any full bands, and the MS are showing only 7 for 67s. But the SP are showing almost 300 Cams in that grade.

The question is are they not showing it because it was a given for the special sets or they havent had any, or have they not updated that part in a while.

Probably going to need someone with NGC access to figure it out.

I can tell you if you can find a PCGS one, it will show the population when you look up the cert. I dont really understand why NGC says population not available. They know how many theyve graded. I understand if they dont want to put a price on it, but not a population is weird.

I could not find a specific population for the proof/SMS FT Roosevelt dimes. They only seem to report it for the circulation strikes of that year. I'm assuming the FTs gets rolled into the total proof population.

NGC Price Guide has 1967 SMS Cameo MS67 @ 100 dollars, MS66 @ 45, MS68 @ 225

The non-cameo is listed at 26 dollars, and ultra-cameo is listed at 1250 dollars. Couldn't find a listing that specified SMS, Cameo, and FT (There was a spot in the price guide for PF FTC, but did not have prices due to lack of sales data). But I would think that all PF coins are struck well enough to have FT, so FT might be academic on this (I know nothing about Roosevelt dimes). If not, I would assume that the price would be the SMS Cameo price plus a premium. I don't know enough about the coins so say whether or not this coin is rare or if just the designation is rare.

NGC website did reference this auction: http://www.teletrade.com/coins/lot....204&lot=1248

Thanks for all the detective work. You guys got further than me in regards to finding something. That Teletrade is interesting because that auction was almost two years ago and I paid way below that price for this one.
