OK. Here's a pic of my restored 1913-s, type 2 , full horn -- bought last summer:

I'm glad to own this scarce, genuine coin, as it almost completes my buffalo set. I didn't have an extra $750, or so, laying around for a "natural" one.

How is a restored date nickel any worse than a bent rim, holed, or scratched natural coin? Particularly as a filler?

IMHO, it is not. I think she is beautiful. Considering the price, I'd take that over a bent rim, holed, or scratched one any day. Ultimately, it is your coin in your collection, so enjoy!

I think nic a date is great stuff- I was missing about six or seven coins yet to complete my collection, and likewise can't afford to buy 700$ coins whenever I want so I bought a 4.95 bottle of nic a date, a $10.00 roll of dateless nickels and filled two holes in my book for less than half of what one would have cost me. If you're a low budget collector this is worth every penny.... put a dab on, wait a few seconds, rinse it off in the kitchen sink and shabang, there you go. Most surprising is the number of key and semi key dates that you will find!
