This coin almost looks like the design from the reverse of the coin is showing in the fields of the obverse? Is that a thing?

Your Half Dime has very strong obv and rev die clashes. It is not a listed variety like a doubled die or overdate but it would probably have a modest premium due to the strength of the clashes. I have to admit that seeing the date on the reverse is pretty cool

Thanks! I was pretty sure there was a name for it... I was planning on sending this coin to PCGS- Do you know if they detract for that or if they mention it if you do the variety thing?

Yup, that's a thing and IMHO your clashes are very interesting. I agree with biokemist, the date clash has the cool factor going for it.

It won't affect grading. Clashing is something that can happen to any die pair at any time, so it doesn't by itself define a variety. It might be included as a subvariety stage, the "a" version unclashed and the "b" version clashed - but that's as far as it would go. Nice coin; I have the impression of just a very little bit of circulation. Certainly no worse than AU55 and $100-ish in a PCGS slab.

Amazing die clash. Could you take it out of the 2x2, photograph it again, and re-post? I sure would like a good look at it, please.

Very interesting, one doesn't usually see a complete date in a clash, this is very cool!
