Does anyone know of a box that would fit these coins? They are kind of an odd size and I haven't been able to find one! Would love to display the series somehow once a couple more come out.

As this series is not sold out at the RCM, wait until the series ends and the RCM will offer a nice box with all the coins of the series in a 1,500 limited edition.

I have this dream that the mint will offer a box that will feature enough slots for the banknote coins as well as the original banknote from which each image was taken from. That would be a spectacular show piece.

Maybe a cardboard box. I agree, wait and see what the RCM offers down the road. This is the newest strategy. They will re-brand old items with new mintage and box.

How many coins expected?

The size is 36mm, which is almost similar to size of Silver Dollar (36.17mm), the difference not noticeable.
Hope it helps...but I would like also to know, where to get nice box for SD's.

Alternatives:
again, without knowing how many coins in series

1. O Canada 1oz 5 coins box - the slots are for 38mm coins, and they are more or less OK for SD. Actually, you may use the box, but to do the middle layer (that holds the coins by yourself).

2. The box of:
2008-2009 Canada $15 Vignettes of Royalty Silver 5 Coins set
Each coin there 36.15mm, which will be great for "Banknote" 36mm coins.

I am assuming they are going to keep with the same number of releases as 2013. Though I could see them doing a quarterly release aswell. Could be a big series...lots of banknotes!

Lots of birds in Canada.
I don't think they will do all for the bird series coin.
Same as the banknotes.

That's what I was thinking...they probably don't even have a plan on how many they will release either. I cant really see them making a box down the road as with the bird series.

There are many RCM series without box. Let's say in opposite - only few have the dedicated box.
The box usually came with subscription. Only the new Mint's trend - to issue the box for unsold coins.

Means - search after-market solution, or fit one of the existing boxes/cases for your need.
