Is that moisture damage? I have a coin just like this one and those white patches have appeared on it in the last 2 years just like on your coin.

From the pictures I'll go with MS-63.

First off Bob was this coin removed from the holder ? It looks like the flips was ripped open...As for Grade I'm going with PL 65 ..... It also looks like a 52 Arnprior issue ?

artdio never noticed that before but after taking a good look it seems to be on the inside holder like it is starting to break down. the outside holder with the coin and the certificate are in great shape. Have you ever seen that happen before. Bob

It looks to me like some on cut the holder. Is that the case?

No the rest of the holder is in perfect shape but I think it might be time to send into ICCS to be put into a new one or to CCCS for a hard slab. Bob

Rare beast for a 52 PL WL dollar(no cameo)..and the ICCS.. 2012 Pop report shows only 7 graded higher...
Tough coin..

Impossible to offer a grading opinion. There seems to be too much dust electrostatically attached to the holder. Hope the dust is on the outside!

sel_69l yes the dust is on the outside as well as some sticky stuff when I bought this long ago in an auction they had their label taped on and another sticker on the holder and like I said earlier time to send it in for a new one. Bob

Bob the only time I have seen this was when someone tried switching coins... In this case however the coin fits the grade so maybe it was just a bad inside flip... I agree with you sending it back but I would send it to Louis instead...A nice hard slab for this coin..
