She looks great in hand. There is a water spot (!?) on the back of her neck that I didn't notice until I looked at the photos. I like the strike on her hair. It's tough to find a 1921 with any detail at all in those high points.

Guys at the shop were arguing. They think it grade an MS-63.

I don't see any problem with calling it 63. For the record, I don't much care about the obverse of a 1921 Peace when deciding about circulation - the wide variance in strike quality, and their normal "circulated" appearance due to incomplete raising of the hair, makes me stick to the reverse.

Well, denco, I've wanted to start a Peace dollar set in MS or better, but I'm almost done with 2 other projects (a complete set of Texas commems and a high grade Washington quarter set), so I've been aware of Peace dollars, but not actively looking. I have 2 others I picked up cheap in UNC condition. This one was sitting on one of the guys' desks at the local shop today, and it was better than any I'd seen in a while. I was able to pick it up for just $235 which is just under MS-60 greysheet. Woo-Hoo!
