Has anyone bought or thumbed through A Registry of Die Varieties of Reeded Edge Half Dollars, 1836-1839, by Dick Graham ?

Really thinking of getting this one and just hoping for the Communities thoughts.

I've seen it but bot read it yet, I hear it is quite good.

Available from dealer Rich Urlich, whom I've had good dealings with in the past:

Looks like quite a featured reference book, also with a spiral binding so it will lay flat while you're studying the photos and attributing CBHs with it. I do know when it was released it quickly sold out at the ANA convention - that says something, as books that aren't that great just don't sell out, especially at more than $50.00 per copy!

Let us know how you like it if you decide to get a copy. The CBH is one area I have no references books in my extensive library so far, and there are quite a few very excellent books out there.

Just noticed this thread. Dick Graham is the "Overton" of the Reeded Halves - he designated the varieties which are now numbered after him with "GR" numbers, building on the work of Jules Reiver before him. I guess it would be appropriate to call his book "definitive."
