I found this coin not long ago and looked on the internet but haven't found out what this coin is. Could someone please clear it up for me?

Welcome to the phorum phluid! Are you a Phillies phan?

What you have there is not a coin, it's what's known as a silver round. Basically art. While there are some collectors of silver rounds that may pay a premium for certain rounds, they're basically worth the silver.

It is a One Troy Ounce "round" of pure .999 silver bullion. Standard value is whatever the going price of silver is but with designs like that sometimes they can go for $15-$20 or more

phluid:
Welcome, and continue collecting.
To start, try picking up a Guide Book of US coins (by R.S. Yeoman).
It is a good info starter.

Welcome here. Now as to that coin. Although it appears to look like a Buffalo/Indian Head Nickel, if it will not fit into a .05 cent gum ball machine, it must be a Silver Bullion thing as already noted.
Now what gets me is you said you FOUND it. Just exactly what did you mean? Sounds like you actually found it. If so, WOW, nice find.
