Hey Everyone,
Been following the forums for a few months now and I am new to collecting. This is my first post and was wondering if the serial on this $5 Banknote is worth above face value to a collector?
Note is in pretty good condition aunc maybe?

Hi cday and welcome

The serial numbers for banknotes issued in 2012 are
2012 $5 BA -- EA
2012 $10 AA -- DF
2012 $50 AA -- GB

As it's not a First or Last issue number, and aUNC, I also think it's only worth face value

It's what is called a repeater, ie 185 185. Some people collect them, others don't.

Might be of interest to someone who collects them, but wouldn't bring much over face, maybe $1-$3.

Canadians would say repeater....only a little bit of juice....(Little increase in value over face,yes).....
