I only bid a max of $20.00, just for the heck of it.
I am surprised it has gone this high. Must be a hard coin to get.

NGC has it listed for $575.

Must be because you don't see many PF70s out of the 1980s.

Again, let me say, I bid what I did as a lark.
Don't quibble about my silly bids. I got a lark and bid melt or close to it on about 150 coins. Not ever expecting to be high bidder and not disappointed either.

Heh, its like buying the lottery ticket. You never know unless you try. Yeah a 70 is a tough pull. I have dozens of MS-69 and PF-69's. There seems to be one teeenie tiny defect on the coin that they spot right off the bat, and then mark it a ms69. Eh, no big deal, I don't send them in for grades, but I will buy the MS/PF-69's all day long for about 1/10th or lower. Those will eventually dry up, from the 1986 to the mid 90's.
