I would think that the seller would reference the completed auctions to determine what coins were won... IMHO, by needing an e-mail reply from allcoinsnewbie, it might seem the seller isn't very organized in his business dealings

There may have been some extenuating circumstances. If the seller seems honest send them the list of items you've purchased and get it over with.

I sent the list. He does seem nice. Hope he just wanted to make sure.
We'll see.
Thanks all

Did you bid and win 7 out of 20 separate auctions? If that's the case - as it seems - I see this as a polite request on the seller's part to make sure you get exactly what you wanted. Too often, buyers bid on a bunch of stuff in the hopes that they'll get some of it, and then end up in a corner because they won everything they bid on. I urge you to see the seller's actions as those of an honest person, because this is (literally) the first time I've ever seen someone bid and win 7 separate auctions from the same seller at once, and he's probably as surprised as I am.

This guy sells a lot of misc stuff. I was cherry picking VAMS. The coins were all BIN. After I sent the list I got a msg of refund for one of the coins. Said he does not have it. It was an 1880 Morgan (a jewel) pictured and described, but titled 1885-O. Said he used wrong template. I've made this mistake myself, so I forgive him. SsD, you've shed a nice light on this matter for me. Thank you for that.

I'm confused. When I read the first post I thought, "Wow! What a disorganized seller that guy must be." But the consensus seems to be that he is just being polite/cautious/accommodating. In response to what SsuperDdave said, I've had numerous occasions where a buyer won 5 out of 15, or 10 out of 12, or 9 out of 13 (etc.) lots I was selling, and my response has always been - Woo-hoo!! - because when THAT happens, it saves me time, postage fees and work. I have absolutely NO problem knowing who bought what and how many from me. I guess I'd have to know who the seller is and get a feel for how long he's been selling and at what volumes. I suppose if he's new maybe he hasn't gotten into a routine or become fully organized. Like I said, to pose a question like that to a buyer just strikes me as disorganized. Did he have an 1893-S among the 20 he had listed? Be sure to tell him you won THAT one!

This morning I got another email that seller sent at midnight. He just wants me to be happy. So, he sent several pictures of coins for me to compare. None were of my purchases!! Naturally, I was upset again. I asked "what is going on"? Then, another email, and MORE pictures. The correct ones this time. Asked if I still want any of them. I said yes, send them. He's either having a lot of fun with me or this is not over.

Don't want to bore you all, but in case anyone is wondering.. Received the 6 coins. Three were the wrong Morgans (common). There goes some nice VAMS, who knows where. He won't pay for return shipping. I called ebay for help. They're handling everything. Whew! Thanks to all for listening.

By any chance did you win those items below or way below their value?
I'm more just curious than anything but it's always funny how things like that seem to happen when people win a good deal.
If you send the wrong thing you should definitely pay for return shipping. At the very least he should offer the items at a discount to try and work out a mutually acceptable price if he doesn't want them returned.
