Has anyone on this group ever tested the manual focus, FD mount, Canon 100/4 Macro lens? The one that requires an extension to get to 1:1? I'm curious because I see lots of them on ebay for low prices and am wondering if they are any good. Also, I recently received a 100/4 FLM Bellows lens and am not at all impressed with it. If the 100/4 FD Macro is like the FLM, I have to take back my recommendations to this group, which I did with blind faith that the 100/4 is a good lens, that the 100/4 would be a good lens for coins.

Would appreciate some objective info on the 100/4 FD Macro. If no one has any experience with it, I may need to lowball one of the ebay auctions and see for myself...I probably won't lose anything if I get it for a good price...

Ray

A lot of the FD stuff compares to the early EF stuff. I can't say on this particular lens though, looking forward to hearing your opinion if you get one Ray!

I haven't heard a whole lot of good about that one, Ray. Nikon was eating Canon's lunch with macro lenses during that period.
