Hi All,

New to paper.

I have an opportunity to pick up two sets of three consecutive s/n silver certs. I was at the antique store near me on Saturday and saw a booth of an obvious numismatist. The both was unmanned, or I would have picked said numismatist's brain.

The certs piqued my curiosity.

They are listed in his/her booth as 'about uncirculated'. I do not remember the years (apologies).

One set of three was listed ~$25, the other ~$32.

I know this is a bit like asking for your opinion on an object described to you whilst we are both sitting in a dark room, but I don't know who else to ask.

Neither set are star notes, and the little research I was able to glean while shopping at the antique store, made me think the prices were fair.

I have a thing for silver certs as one of my brothers found one in a used book years back.

in your opinion, do I make the drive back (~15 min drive, not too shabby) to buy these beauties?

Thanks in advance.

they are most likely 1957 A or B
a set of 3 UNC 1957B silver certs go for $20 or so on ebay
i am not too familiar with the other years of silver certs.
personally, I would get the $25 set.. if the $32 set is 1935 silver certs,it is worth getting for sure.
