Hi!

I have twenty 1963A uncirculated one hundred dollar bills.

Do they have any value beyond face value?

Thanks!

Hi,
Yes,there is a premium but we have to know which district you have.
The catalog write for the (no star) notes $200.
I think that is to high for the most districts.
I'm not sure but I think something from $135 - $150 is real.
Here are the printing runs for the $100 1963A Series bill.
Boston: 1.536.000
Star: 128.000
New York: 12.544.000
Star: 1.536.000
Philadelphia: 1.792.000
Star: 192.000
Cleveland: 2.304.000
Star: 192.000
Richmond: 2.816.000
Star: 192.000
Atlanta: 1.280.000
Star: 128.000
Chicago: 4.352.000
Star: 512.000
St. Louis: 1.536.000
Star: 256.000
Minneapolis: 512.000
Star: 128.000
Kansas City: 1.024.000
Star: 128.000
Dallas: 1.536.000
Star: 192.000
San Francisco: 6.400.000
Star: 832.000
So I think the most valuable district is Minneapolis.
I have none of them.

Thanks for all that info! I don't have them on hand so I don't know what district they are from. Now, though, I have a guideline for their value.

Does the twenty being sequential add anything to the value?

Just out of curiosity, my wife was wondering what if we got got the same thing now? I mean if someone was to get twenty sequential uncirculated $100 bills from 2009, the bills with the new design, would the 2009 bills in 2059 be as valuable as the 1963 bills are in 2013?

Thanks again :)

So many variables to predict. Minting numbers are now higher, which is a negative, but theoretically population is higher, more collectors, more people holding on, could be positive or negative. Personally, I imagine with inflation and other underlying economic problems, I wouldn't expect the same kind of return. The $100 invested right, compounding for 45+ years, should trump a string of random common sequential notes.

"$100 invested right, compounding for 45+ years" Interesting (no pun intended).

Using cankrate.com's simple savings calculator, $100, at one percent compounded monthly, for fifty years, becomes $164.84. So a 64% increase of value does seem better than HOPING the uncirculated bills become ... something more...

Again, there's no relevance to them being twenty sequential bills?
