I have a quite a few more coins to put up, so you will see them up in the next few weeks. Here is a recent raw purchase, had some cool rim toning. It has a pretty gnarly rim ding on the reverse at 11:00, but would that affect the grading process? What do you all think of the grade?

Ball park MS63, but, could also be a AU58. The photos you provide fail to show luster and you really need to see the luster to accurately determine the grade of a Morgan.

Well I will work on capturing the luster a bit more in my shots. I had it around 63 myself, except I wasn't sure if the ding might knock it down a point or two, or even to AU. Any idea if that kind of ding makes a big difference?

I would say yes... that would bring it down a couple notches. IMHO.

MS62 A big ding should never knock an Uncirculated coin from MS designation, it's only wear/rub light circulation and handling that will do take it down to an AU grade.
