The WAM's are circulation coins struck with a proof die.. Normal circulation strikes are Close AM's. Normal proofs are Wide AM's, if you happen to find a CAM proof it would be unusual as the WAM is for the circulation strikes.
Yes! Like coop said, It's the '98 and '99 Proof cent that are varieties, that are closed AM. The Wide AM variety is only the business strikes(circulated)in the "98,the BIG one 99 and the'2000" The 1999 Wide AM can be worth $500 smackeroos in the right condition! I once found the '99 0n the ground. Decided to send in to grade (NGC) it came back a 64 RB. I sold it for $200. Keep hunting!-joey
